Hi friends,
We hope this message finds you, your friends and your family, healthy, happy and safe. We're writing you today in the midst of our sparkling isolation here in the sunny Napa Valley. It’s been a crazy week and we know how stressful and chaotic life in the confines of our homes can be, even in the best of times. To help you survive these strange days, we’re teaming up with a few close friends to offer you a mixed case of some of our favorite wines.
The selection ranges in style, highlighting different varieties and regions - from Sémillon in Napa to Grenache blanc in Lodi to Mourvèdre in the Sierra Foothills to Counoise in Mendocino - and shows the beauty and truth of the vineyards they come from. Each of these wines are made by a similarly small producer with love, craftsmanship, and impeccable attention to detail while practicing the same commitment and intention in their wines as we do in ours. You can read about the offering and each of us involved in more detail below.
More importantly, we will be donating 10% of the sales from this care package to our local restaurants GoFundMe pages. Our community is strongly rooted in the hospitality industry and we are trying to help where we can.
We hope sharing these wines with you sparks some joy and makes life a bit more enjoyable.

The People
Leaf and Vine has always produced wines from a single vineyard and single variety.
Their goal is to find unique vineyards and make wine focused on the variety and the site. All of their wines are natively fermented and bottled unfiltered. Winemaker Timothy Keith has been making wine since 2004 - following his studies at UC Davis he worked his way up the ranks with stops in Napa, Oregon, and New Zealand before finally coming back to Napa. Tim knew that when he went out on his own, he wanted to work with grapes that were ideally suited to their locations and thus create wines that were truly site specific.
Bertus and Alli van Zyl founded Belong Wine Co. to celebrate everything they are passionate about. Pulling from their field journals, the label represents their fascination of the outdoors and drinking wine in the wilderness. Their goal is to produce wines that express a clear sense of place, with freshness and complexity, highlighting El Dorado County. Serious wines made by people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
Matt Nagy and Ben Brenner are all about lo-fi winemaking. Their focus is on sourcing fruit from unique and well cared for vineyards, allowing them to use a hands-off approach in the cellar. They are after wines that are alive, and that showcase fruit purity and speak of the soils they come from.
Fine Disregard Wine Co. is the personal project of Mike Schieffer and Kara Maraden. They are committed to making wines that truly speak of California by seeking out compelling vineyards and practicing a philosophy of minimal intervention winemaking in the cellar.
